Project 1200+ |
|
The premier program for the nfl mid-atlantic |
|
This year, by a special offer from National Forensics League, the Mid-Atlantic has the opportunity to send three entries to NFL Nationals in Las Vegas this summer in every single event… if and only if we can grow our District by 1,200 new members and degrees by April 1st, 2008.
Last year, we grew by 1,456 new members and degrees without even trying. This year, we are again making a concerted effort to get to that 1,200 goal.
In order to create incentives, Project 1200+ has been inaugurated.
The Benefits of Project 1200+ are: We bring more schools into the National Forensics League and offer them the support their coaches and students need through networking, coaching resources, and final round videos. A charter membership in the NFL is an important mark of success for every school and program.
We offer more students the opportunity to join the oldest high school honor society… one that is designed to encourage students to compete more in high school speech and debate, gain more confidence in speaking, and master the important skills of organization and presentation that will serve them well for the rest of their life.
We honor more coaches as members of the National Forensics League. For each coach, they receive recognition for the points entered online and gain recognition on the local and national level for their efforts.
We will gain three qualifiers to Nationals in every single event. Given that the Mid-Atlantic worked very hard to get three national qualifiers in only two events last year, Project 1200+ offers the Mid-Atlantic an opportunity to share the experience of Nationals with more schools, more coaches, and most importantly of all, more students. As Bruno Jacob, founder of the NFL stated, “The Purpose of Nationals is not winning it, but going.” We want more of our students to have that opportunity. |
