Jim Menick, LD Director at Yale, Lexington, Bronx, and a host of others, will run LD Debate Tab.  Assisting Jim will be Joe Vaughan (Scarsdale),  TOC LD Advisory Board member and assistant at Yale and Columbia.

 

Chris Palmer (Newton South), Speech Director at Yale, U Penn, and Columbia, will set up Speech Tab.  Assisting Chris will be Jonathan Chavez, a Assistant Speech Director at U Penn and a host of tournament, as well as Carl Klein (Catonsville), former Chair of the NFL Chesapeake District and a member of CFL National Tab.

William Cooper (Arthur L Johnson), director of the Big AL Johnson Tournament and Committee member of the NJFL.  Assisting Bill will be Martha Lee (Woodson), former chair of the NFL Mid-Atlantic District and long-time NFL National Parliamentarian.

 

BA Rev. Gregg (R-MA), Public Forum Director at Bronx and Princeton, and NFL State Chair of Virginia, will run Public Forum Tab.  Assisting BA will be Bro. John McGrory (Chaminade) and Assistant Director of the New York State Forensics League.

 

Jon Cruz (Bronx Science), Director of the Vassar Round Robin and the Big Bronx, as well as TOC LD Advisory Board member will be the hired judge chair.

The 2008 Princeton Classic

On behalf of the Whig Debate Panel at Princeton University, we are pleased to invite you and your team to the 12th Annual Princeton Classic National High School  Invitational Debate Tournament.  This year’s tournament will be held on our campus December 5-7, 2008, with Speech Prelims on Saturday.

 

This year we will offer again offer Open Division Public Forum Debate, with a TOC bid at Octofinals; Student Congress, with a TOC bid for the top six in Super Session; Novice– and Varsity Divisions of Lincoln-Douglas Debate, with a TOC bid at finals.  Additionally, all speech events (Oratory, Dramatic-, Humorous-, and Duo Interp) will break to semifinals.  Extemporaneous Speaking will break to Quarterfinals, with a bid to Northwestern’s prestigious Extemp TOC awarded at the first break-round.
